Dr Stella: Pulmonologist, Critical Care, Internal Medicine

A key goal for Dr Cohen is to enhance the quality of life for patients afflicted with respiratory diseases. She is known for her thorough evaluations, extended consultations, and thoughtful second opinions.  

Her clinical expertise encompasses bronchoscopy, management of patients on mechanical ventilation, interpretation of advanced pulmonary imaging and diagnostics, and performance of bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and pulmonary bronchoscopy.

Dr Stella Cohen's broad clinical experience includes having worked and taught at an array of institutions and hospitals including University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), West Hills Medical Center, UC San Diego Medical Center, and Los Robles Medical Center, where Dr Cohen has managed a wide range of advanced pulmonary conditions and critically ill patients.

She served as a Clinical Instructor at UCLA and continues to educate medical professionals through speaking engagements and clinical lectures. In 2021 Los Angeles Magazine named her a Top Doctor in recognition of her excellence in patient care. Dr Cohen received excellence in teaching awards from UC San Diego, UCLA, 

Dr. Cohen’s training includes a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship at the University of California, Davis, and she completed Internal Medicine residency in 2014 at the University of California, San Diego. She graduated medical school in 2010 from The Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Facility of Medicine, Haifa Israel. Dr Stella graduated Magna Cum Lade with a degree in Political Science and Pre-Med from New York University, NY. 

Dr Stella is an avid hiker along with her family.  Because of their love for California, most of her extended family followed them here.  They have planted deep roots in Southern California.
